Glencree Bed & Breakfast - Windermere

we recently had a good stay at glencree bed & breakfast. our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with some unique touches. the location was perfect, making it easy to explore both towns. we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast featuring local produce, and ian was a fantastic host, ensuring we felt welcome and taken care of throughout our visit.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, I enjoyed it. I loved delicious food.

Our double room was airy with nice touches like a fridge, a fan plus a balcony overlooking the woodland as advertised. All staff were attentive and amicable, ensured our stay was very nice.

Nice hosts, great breakfast, room quite small but good enough for a short stay, everything is fine.

So we decided to spend our Easter getaway here and honestly, the location is just perfect! You're right by a lovely stream and pretty close to the center, making it easy to stroll around and explore. I loved the fact that we could pre-order breakfast through an iPad in our room - it was fresh and delicious every morning. Plus, the owners were super friendly and made us feel right at home.

I wasted so much time trying to sort it out. The room was a bit cramped too, which I expected, but still, a little more space would’ve been nice. I left feeling a bit frustrated, despite some nice moments.

Despite the cold day, the room was beautifully furnished and impeccably clean, boasting modern amenities and a lovely en suite bathroom. I appreciated the warm welcome from the host, who was attentive to every detail, and the honesty system for refreshments added a special touch.

The room had a good bathroom mirror, but the suite felt a bit chilly.

Glencree bed & breakfast was such a lovely stay. The king room with garden view was super clean and super comfy. Breakfast had a wide choice and was really tasty. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the two towns. Host ian was friendly and helpful.

Just a smart choice for a short weekend trip in Windermere with real value for money. The room was very cosy, clean, and spacious. Make sure to check for available parking since it can be tight.

Had a fantastic stay! The big walk-in shower was a total highlight. The breakfast was deliciously fresh. Found the tablet for ordering breakfast and local tips super convenient. Would definitely return!

Stayed for 2 nites and it was just amazin! The king room with garden view was sooo comfy and super clean. Super friendly hosts, ian and gary. The breakfast was fab with locally sourced ingredients, and the decor was lovely, really cozy vibes. The tablet in the room for ordering drinks n info was a great touch.

only complaints were the parking was a bit tight and could use more outdoor seating areas, but overall, it was still an awesome stay!

Glencree was a fantastic getaway! We stayed in the King Room with Garden View, clean and well-decorated. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of options each morning. Ian and Amy provided warm hospitality!

Great place with great wi-fi, a cozy bar area, and a lovely welcome drink. The staff really helped me with shopping tips during my first stay. I highly recommend it and will definitely return soon.

Glencree Bed & Breakfast provided an excellent experience. The host Ian was accommodating, assisting with transportation of our luggage during inclement weather. The room was warm and comfortable with a surprisingly large television. The location between Windermere and Bowness was ideal, great for easy walks to both areas. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options.

No significant downsides.
